Enterprise car rental web site

  • Responsible for leading back-end development for the website which involves Adobe Experience Manager and JAVA Spring

  • Responsible for planning and assigning out tasks to the back-end team

  • Responsible for architecting and planning each feature introduced to the website

  • Designed and implemented changes/enhancements to JAVA/Spring back-end web services

  • Developed and consumed micro services and responsible for creating orchestration and adapter layers for micro services

  • Instrumental in moving applications to the AWS cloud and setting up Continuous Integration pipelines using Jenkins

  • Developed an application for employees of Enterprise’s business partners to help book car rental at a discounted rate

  • Made enhancements to SOLR index engine application that is used to index the car rental locations

  • Implemented security measures on the website so that bot traffic goes down

  • Developed and implemented features to help facilitate customers expedite the process of renting a car

  • Developed and implemented a feature which allows users to subscribe for car rental

  • The website is a global website and integrates with almost 5 different payment providers. I was instrumental in all of those integrations.

  • Planned and implemented Adobe Experience Manager upgrades for the website

  • Created Proof of concepts around Elastic Search / Kubernetes / Docker to be integrated into the application

 

Connected Commerce Proof of Concept using Bluetooth Low Energy technology

  • Created a PoC for a product to be used in the physical retail stores to enhance customer in-store experience

  • Implemented communication and messaging between the in-store terminal and any smart phone that comes in proximity of the terminal

  • Implemented alert feature for customer’s smart phone to notify them that they are close to the store and which discounts they can avail of

Adidas micoach elite (a device/application to help soccer coaches train athletes)

  • Developed and implemented communication between on the field base station and web server using messaging services and HTTP REST API

  • Implemented a way to keep different subsystems of the application in sync

  • Responsible for moving version control from SVN to GIT and onboarding the team to GIT workflow
